End User Connectivity
Objectives
To provide fixed broadband connectivity to end users up to union and village level accelerate ISP business all over the country. Background Connectivity is the primary pillar of ICT based development. The government has taken initiatives to spread fiber connectivity up to union level. Now, the end users need to be connected to provide ICT based service on various sectors. There are educational institutions, health community clinic; union level government offices those need cable broadband connectivity.
Component description:
Utilizing the existing fiber connectivity up to union level, ISPs will provide connectivity to existing schools, community clinic, union land offices and other government establishments....
• The connectivity will be provided by the ISPs. The ISPs will do necessary investment for last mile connection.
• The project will provide a certain amount of OTC (one-time cost) for installation and commissioning. The fund will be provided by the GoB. The connected institution will bear the service cost after project completion.
• The ISPs will provide monitoring dashboard to monitor the connections. The project will arrange a hierarchical NOC for management and monitoring from Upazilla to district to National level. The DolCT officers of respective service will be responsible to maintain SLA of the service quality. The equipment for monitoring and management will be arranged in Scope-5 where the capacity of IT service management will be built.
